Thinking of “cutting the cord”?

Or have you already “cut the cord” and returned the last piece of equipment back to the cable or satellite company?

There’s so much out there, what do you watch now?

Depending on what you like to watch and what you need, there are a few things you may want to consider:

  1. Check how fast of an internet speed you’ll need by consulting your local internet service provider (ISP).
    Your bandwidth and data cap should be higher if you have more people in your household connecting devices such as phones, tablets, laptops, streaming devices and smart TVs. Some ISPs and cell providers have data caps on their moderate , which limit the may be easy to reach if you or others in your household are streaming high quality 4K videos.
  2. Do you have DVD and Blu-ray discs? If you digitize your physical media, you could set up a home media server to play on your TVs and devices on your network.
  3. To view the channels for local news or network affiliate stations, you could get an antenna or search for live streaming local news. If you live in a large metropolitan area, you’ll likely just need an indoor antenna.
